Washington State is one of only 7 states without a State Income Tax.
The State Sales Tax Rate is 6.5%. Each City and County has additional taxes on top of that. You can normally figure somewhere between 8-9.2% in most areas. Washington State Property Taxes are generally based on 1% of the purchase price of a home. There may be additional taxes in some areas for levies and improvements.
